Card Album for 1887 Lone Jack St. Louis Browns (N370)

The 13 card Lone Jack set features the same players with the same photos as in the Browns Champions series in the Old Judge series released by Goodwin and Company the same year. The photos are cropped differently, and the words "Lone Jack Cigarettes" appear in the background around the player. They were issued with packs of Lone Jack cigarettes (out of Lynchburg, VA) as part of a larger set of 37 cards of "Rulers, Celebrities and Baseball Players." These cards are considered some of the rarer cards from the 19th century.

A reprint set of the Lone Jack set was made from the only known complete set. I do not know when this set was produced or by whom it was produced.
