Milwaukee amateur who substituted for Hengel, who was sick, in a double header at Milwaukee.

On September 23, 1888, the Maroons played a double header in Milwaukee. Hall started both games in place of Hengle, who was sick.

Milwaukee had but little trouble yesterday in winning two games from the mixed assortment of players traveling around the country under the name of the Chicago Maroons. The visitors had only seven regular men and played two amateurs, one Pedros, a pitcher in the Chicago city league, while they picked up another player from among the spectaators to take Hengle's place, the latter being sick. In 1889, a player named Hall played for the Cream City Club of Milwaukee, a semipro team organized by Rudolph Giljohan. Giljohan ran a pool (and betting) hall in Milwaukee at the time. The draw on the club was Otto Shomberg, who previously played for Indianapolis in the National League.
