Possibly the alias for George Pennington.

Hutchinson made his first appearance one week later, on July 13 in the second game of a double header in Kansas City. After Rehmer pinch ran for Gaston in the fourth inning of the game, Hutchinson came in to play right field while Tobin moved from right field to play center field in place of Gaston. (Rehmer ended up scoring, and St. Louis won the game by a score of 5-4.) Hutchinson appeared in five more games over the next week. He started in center field on July 14 in Kansas City as Gaston sat. Two days later he substituted for Murphy at third base and got one at-bat in a 8-7 win in Indianapolis. On July 18 he pinch hit in the ninth. That was Jimmy Barton's last game, and Hutchinson started the next two games, in Indianapolis and Chicago, at shortstop. Former major leaguer Rabbit Robinson joined the club on July 21 and took over at short, and Hutchinson was gone.
There are two possible options for Hutchinson, as best I can tell. Louis Hutchinson was a shortstop from St. Louis, who played with Salina (KS), and then Junction City (KS) in the Kansas State League in 1913. He played in a double header for Junction City on July 6. The club played its final game the next day before disbanding. He played in the St. Louis Trolley for several years prior to 1913. His father was Joe Hutchinson, described as a "one-time member of the old St. Louis Browns" in his obituary in the St. Louis Star and Times (July 16, 1917). That obituary noted that Louis and his brothers Tommy and Will were all well known plauyers in the Muny League (another semi-pro league in St. Louis). One of these Hutchinsons could have been the player for the Terriers. Louis was born in 1890, Will in 1892, and Tommy in 1895. Tommy played soccer in the Muny League in St. Louis, and then professionally after World War I with the Innisfails.
The more likely option, however, is that Hutchinson was the alias used by George Pennington. Pennington was a veteran minor leaguer from St. Louis, having first played professional baseball in 1903. In 1913, he started the season as the manager for Kewanee (IL) in the Central Association. He resigned from Kewanee in June and briefly joined Keokuk (IA) before signing with Muscatine (IA) (both also in the Central Association). The Muscatine (Iowa) Journal reported on July 4 reported that he had left the club for his home in Keokuk, saying he was ill and meeded a rest. On July 10, the Waterloo (Iowa) Courier reported that he jumped a contract with Muscatine to join the Federal League. And on July 17, The Sporting News (published out of St. Louis) reported "George Pennington was cavorting around with the St. Louis Federal League team under the name Hudson" (July 17, 1913, pg. 2). Reports continued into the next season that he had played for the Terriers. The timing of his departure from the Central Association corresponds to Hutchinson's appearance with the Terriers.
