The photo did not include a caption, so the identies of the players are unknown, but one can assume they represented the club that left Chicago on the road trip that opened their season. Prior to the series in Indianapolis, Chicago played three games in St. Louis. They then played four games in Indianapolis. Between the seven games, thirteen players appeared in games for Chicago. Including manager Burt Keeley, that totals fourteen, the number of people in the photo.
